Spring Break and Fire Emblem

I realize that I have not blogged in quite a while, so here's a short little snippet about my life and another new product I've tried recently.

There are two more days of college left before spring break, the vacation we've all been waiting for. Just like all the other students here, I'm sick of school and everything that comes along with it (except for hanging out with friends and my lovely boyfriend, of course). But this break will hopefully be enough to reenergize me for the rest of the semester. I might hit the beach (probably not), practice driving (I still need my license), or just sit around the house all day playing video games and writing... which I will probably end up doing. Sigh.

This game is so awesome. If you don't have it, I totally recommend it:

I would give a game review, but it's not exactly my forte. Just know that the 3D effects are awesome, the story is wonderful, the gameplay is fantastic, and overall, it's definitely one of the best games I've played in a long time. It's $39.99 at Wal-Mart and GameStop, if you buy it new. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to find right now. I would know. I tried about six or seven different stores before I found a copy at a local GameStop (and it was the last one they had in stock).

In my next blog, I'll be talking about Zendaya's style. She's coming out in Dancing With the Stars!

Body Wash and Body Butter

I love things like fragrance sprays, makeup, and shampoo way too much for one's own good. With all the things I buy, it really leaves a hole in my pocket. With that in mind, I hope these recommendations will keep you from spending too much to find the perfect products. I plan to do these little segments from time to time. This one will be about the wonderful body washes and body butters I've purchased over the years.

Softsoap Body Butter Coconut Scrub
I just bought this product yesterday, and it's absolutely amazing. It exfoliates the skin and leaves it feeling smooth and soft after just one wash. Not only that, but the soft coconut scent is so soothing and relaxing. You can purchase it for $2.98 at Wal-Mart stores.

Neutrogena® Body Clear® Body Wash - Pink Grapefruit
I've been using this product for three years now, and it still gives the same amazing results. This body wash both rids of and prevents body breakouts and blackheads "without sacrificing your shower experience," as it says on the bottle. The great thing about it (besides the fact that it works) is the clean, refreshing scent of the grapefruit. You can get the same kind of body wash without the grapefruit scent, but I highly recommend buying this one for around $7.50 at Wal-Mart or other drug stores.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you love these products just as much as I do!

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is one of my many fashion inspirations. Her hair, makeup, and outfits are always flawless, and she always puts effort into her appearance, even on chill days. It's no wonder she's won Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon - Female on the Teen Choice Awards twice now.

UNICEF Snowflake Ball 2012
Here, Selena is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes (unseen), along with her clutch and jewels. I thought Selena's dress was absolutely gorgeous. Not only do the colors complement her skin tone, but they also visually slim down her body.

Adidas NEO News Conference 2012
This photo focuses more on Selena's casual, yet chic use of makeup. She uses just enough eyeliner to highlight her eyes in a laidback way, and her use of blush and lipgloss is light as well. The lack of attention-drawing makeup really brings out her natural beauty.

Her outfit for the event was just as casual as her makeup, but still trendy and fashionable. She layered a graphic skull t-shirt with a purple, black, and pink plaid shirt and statement gold necklaces. She also wore several beaded bracelets on her right wrist and gray nail polish (both unseen). And, of course, the top the outfit off she wore a blue beret that complemented her plaid shirt without drawing too much attention away from the rest of the ensemble. Overall, it was a job well done.

Nails
Selena Gomez seems to prefer pastel or subtle nail polishes, as shown in the pictures below.
Which brings me to my next (and last) part of this post....

Nicole by OPI
It's Nicole by OPI's new line of nail polishes, inspired by the fashion icon herself, Selena Gomez. These shades are just as pretty, sweet, and spunky as she is. They come in shades such as Hit the Lights, Love Song, Naturally, and of course, Selena. The collection wouldn't be complete without her namesake. Hello!

My name is Emily, and this is my first blog. I hope that you'll find it interesting and fun to read. I will try to express myself in the best way possible. I'm basically going to write about things I love, like fashion and photography. Enjoy!

For my first blog, I'm going to talk about my time on Polyvore, which pretty much inspired me to start a blog up. Polyvore is amazing. If you don't already use it, I highly recommend it. You can explore your inner fashion designer and creative side with just the simple click on your mouse.

Here is one of my creations:
